God’s Will Be Done

Scripture: Philippians 1:

4In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1,2,3,4 – Passage Lookup – New International Version – BibleGateway.com

Observation: God is with you in completing the good work that He began in you.

Application: Often we do not understand just what it is that God is doing in our lives.  We seem to trudge along from day to day going through one coincidence after another, one random event after another, one lucky or not so lucky break after another until things finally end up where they are and we get the job, or find the right person, or go to the right church or any number of other things that we might contribute to pure chance.

Whether we realize it or not God is at work in our lives every day, even in the smallest of details God is there.  You can not lift a stone, nor split a piece of wood where you do not find God.  You can not disturb the smallest grain of sand on the shore without touching God there, and God has orchestrated your life to fit his good work that He will carry on to completion in you.

Do not fear.  God knows where you are and has never left you.  He is active, and guiding, and when necessary carrying you along.

Have a Blessed Day!

Prayer: God,

Thank you for carrying out your plan in my life.  Help me to be obedient to Your Spirit as You lead me.  Help me to answer the callings you place in my heart and guide me into a life of service which will bring glory to you.

Love Michael
