Now IS The Time

Scripture: Hebrews 3:

13 But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called "Today," so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.

Observation: The only time we ever have to be an encouragement to one another is now.

Application: Every day that we are given is a gift, it’s a new opportunity to serve God by ministering to one another, offering encouragement, building up, and urging on.  Today is that gift, not tomorrow, and not yesterday, but today is the time for action and the meaningful moments start right now.

Tomorrow is full of worry, stress and anxiety, yesterday is full of regrets, broken relationships, missed opportunities and unfulfilled desires.  The only way that we can make a positive impact on our yesterdays is by our actions now that heal and forgive.  The only way that we can make a positive impact on our tomorrows is by working today toward understanding, loving and encouraging one another.

By living every moment to the fullest, and taking advantage of each opportunity that God gives us to show kindness, compassion and love to another we heal our yesterdays, and brighten the paths of our tomorrows. It all happens NOW!  Don’t put off reconciling with that old friend, or forgiving that person that has brought you so much pain.  Don’t put off anything, the only moment that we truly have is this one.  Our time is limited, so why should we waist one more day, one more hour worrying over tomorrow, or lamenting over yesterday?

Prayer: God of Today,

Thank you for this day, and this new opportunity to express my thankfulness for the life, love and beauty you have blessed me with.  Let me be so observant today that I don’t miss any of the great blessings you have prepared for me. Let me not put off any kindness, or any good thing, and help me live each moment in thankfulness and wonder.

Love Michael

Yield: I give up my worries over tomorrow, and my sorrows over yesterday.
